Would you go back for the social aspect?
by highdose ini mean aside from wanting to keep in touch with family who are still in.
would you ever go back just to have the social aspect in your life?
i personaly wouldn't but i'd like to hear from you all about it....

The latest one I heard, was about:
"Jehovah gave us a gift - free evening instead of a bookstudy... But it is not up on you to decide what to do with that gift ... Jehovah has to tell you ... and he wants you to use it for family worship... "
Then he described, how he checked on some brothers from his group on first "free" evening and called them - and imagine: They were not having family worship!!!

Assembly hall in Sweden sold....
by Albert Einstein inon czech anti jw website there was recently an article about witnesses in sweden.... http://www.straznavez.cz/finance/financnikrize.htm.
it says, witnesses in sweden did built in past years a huge assembly hall for 10.000 persons, it was used for da a cc.
recently it was sold to a private company svenska hem ab and it is used for concerts, exhibitions and conferences (now it is called svenska hem arena).

On czech anti JW website there was recently an article about Witnesses in Sweden...

It says, Witnesses in Sweden did built in past years a huge assembly hall for 10.000 persons, it was used for DA a CC. Recently it was sold to a private company SVENSKA HEM AB and it is used for concerts, exhibitions and conferences (now it is called Svenska Hem ARENA). Witnesses do rent it from this company for assemblies when they need it....

What do you think about it? Are they really starting to sell out? If somebody told you 15 years agou they will sell Brooklyn, assembly halls in Italy, Sweden, Argentina ... Bethel in Spain... would you believe it?
Anybody from Sweden can give us more details?

Do you keep JW pictures???
by Albert Einstein inafter many years of very active live in jw religion we have thousands of jw related pictures ... conventions, jw guests, jw friends ..... so btw - do you keep yours, or did you get rid of them?.
my wife is still mentally in, so throwing all of them out is not on the agenda, but i dont really want to watch it .... it makes me feel embarassed how stupid i was ... on the other hand, i might want to keep some ... its still part of my life.... albert.

neverending: ...taped them up, and stored them away. There isn't anything in my apartment now that would identify me as a JW
I wish to be able to do the same some day ... but, then ... 18 years of my life would disapear....

Do you ever feel bitter...
by Newborn in...that if you had never been a jw you could have been in a totally different, hopefully better, place than where you are now?
both when it comes to proffession and family etc.... sometimes i feel that i never explored any hobbies coz preaching was my hobby.
i know it's not too late for babies or new hobbies but still sometimes that makes me sad.. love.

Iam so happy to be out!!!!
Thanks ANYBOBODY I got out after all...! Iam 38, and life is so wonderfull now, after 18 years in WTBS slavery! Life is great, future is bright, so many nice people around.... How come I never noticed that before????

in my country (eastern europe) it is viewed mostly as "unexemplary" , although many kids have harry potter dvds at home, but nobody talks about it .... at circuit assembly one speaker warned, that "some might be tempted to watch a movie, with a little witch .... (of course it is very dangerous and we must stay away!!!)".
when i started my departure several months ago, i made sure my son has all movies on dvd and i openly talk about it with dubs who visit our home - how nice the movies are - ... nobody so far dared to react.... albert .

We had twins born 3 months ago, so it is very busy, and my wife is very "weak spiritually" now - In past 4 months we were once at the KH (to show off the kids...) and she was not door to door for a year now.... So I hope one day your story will be my story...! You re lucky man!"
